Medevac Jet Crashes in Northeast Philadelphia With Six People On Board

Government and Official Responses

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro stated that he had spoken with Mayor Parker and assured that all Commonwealth resources were available to assist in the emergency response. He later traveled to the crash site.

US Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that President Donald Trump had been briefed on the situation.

Meanwhile, the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) launched an investigation, with investigators already on the ground examining the wreckage.

Eyewitness Accounts

Witnesses described a terrifying scene as the jet crashed and exploded. Mikey Littlejohn, who was working nearby, recalled, “I was right here at the job, and all I could see is this big ball of flames in the sky. Literally, we heard a loud, loud bang. It shook the entire building.”

Another witness, Vadim Osipov, compared the scene to wartime destruction, saying, “I was in shock. I’m still in shock. Like, this is insane. There’s always rockets coming in and stuff like that [in Ukraine], then I see things flying.”

Related Aviation Incident

The crash comes just days after another aviation tragedy. Authorities are still investigating a deadly collision that occurred on Wednesday, approximately 150 miles northeast in the Washington, DC, area. An American Airlines regional jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter collided over the Potomac River. The jet, which was flying from Wichita, Kansas, carried 64 passengers, while the helicopter had three soldiers aboard. All are presumed dead.

Investigations into the Philadelphia medevac crash remain ongoing, with authorities working to determine the cause of the accident. Officials have yet to release further details regarding casualties or potential survivors. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
