According to the authorities in Mexico City, a man in the northern part had to be rescued after he accidentally fell into a hole that he previously dug so that he would be able to spy on his former girlfriend, this was in a violation of a court order against him to stay clear of her.
The attorney general’s office of the Sonora State stated that the 50 years old man had allegedly spent days digging this hole in Puerto Penasco, which is a town on the Gulf of California, only to become trapped, thereby requiring assistance to get out.
The Mexican man was reported as being ordered to stay clear of the woman that was once his girlfriend, because of a domestic violence charge, he is currently in jail, according to the authorities.
El Universal, a Mexican newspaper stated that the man dug the tunnel under the woman’s house. The newspaper said that the woman informed the police that during the week, she heard noises that sounded like scratching but just assumed it was from a cat. However, as the sound became louder, she then investigated and subsequently found her ex boyfriend trapped, according to the report. She recalled that she ended the relationship of 14 years due to the jealousy of the ex partner.
According to the police it appeared as if the man was intoxicated and very dehydrated, after they retrieved him from out of the tunnel.
